Use TextTriage to triage articles. Don't abuse the service, don't try to circumvent the usage limits, and don't use it for anything harmful. The service is provided as-is. That's it.
By installing or using the TextTriage Chrome extension, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use TextTriage. These terms apply to all users of the TextTriage Chrome extension and its associated backend services.
TextTriage is a Chrome browser extension that reads the visible text of a webpage you are currently viewing and returns a 3-sentence summary and a reading verdict: READ, SKIM, or SKIP. Summaries are generated by a third-party AI model (Anthropic Claude) and are returned in real time.
TextTriage is a reading assistance tool. Summaries are automated and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or miss context present in the original article. Always use your own judgment.
TextTriage is free to use up to 30 triages per calendar month. The limit resets at the start of each month. No account or payment is required within the free tier.
Paid subscription plans are available: TextTriage Pro (200 triages/month, $3.99/month) and TextTriage Unlimited (unlimited triages, $7.99/month). Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe and may be cancelled at any time. Upon successful payment, you receive a license key which activates your plan when entered in the extension.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via the link in your Stripe receipt email. Upon cancellation, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason. However, by subscribing you expressly request that the service begins immediately. If you use the service (i.e. perform at least one triage) within the 14-day withdrawal period, you acknowledge that you partially waive your right of withdrawal and agree that a proportional charge applies for use already made.
Refunds may be requested within 14 days of payment by emailing support@texttriage.app. Refunds are granted at our reasonable discretion. If you have an issue with a charge, please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve it directly.
Usage is tracked by an anonymous device ID generated and stored locally in your browser. You must not attempt to circumvent usage limits by generating new device IDs, sharing or reselling license keys, using automated tools, or by any other means.
We reserve the right to adjust tier limits and pricing at any time with reasonable notice.
You may use TextTriage for personal, non-commercial reading assistance. You must not:
TextTriage does not claim ownership of the articles you summarise. Article content remains the property of its respective owners. TextTriage only processes text you have lawful access to view in your browser.
The TextTriage extension, API, brand, and website are owned by TextTriage. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the extension code or brand assets without permission.
Summaries are generated automatically by an AI language model and are not reviewed by a human before delivery. They may contain errors, omissions, or misrepresentations of the source article. TextTriage makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any summary for any purpose.
Do not rely on TextTriage summaries for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Always read the original source for anything that matters.
TextTriage is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TextTriage and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to reliance on an inaccurate summary, service interruption, or data loss.
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TextTriage after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zagreb, Croatia.
