TextTriage does not collect personal data. No account required. No API key required. Article text is sent to a secure TextTriage server to generate your summary and is not stored or logged. Your reading habits stay yours.
TextTriage is a Chrome browser extension that helps you decide whether an article is worth reading. It extracts the visible text of a webpage, sends it to the TextTriage API, and returns a 3-sentence summary and a reading verdict.
TextTriage is free to use. You do not need an account, an API key, or any credentials. The extension works out of the box.
We collect nothing that identifies you. Specifically:
All communication between the extension and the TextTriage API is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Article text is sent solely to process your request and is discarded immediately after the response is returned. Nothing is written to a database or log.
TextTriage uses two infrastructure providers to deliver the service:
TextTriage does not share your data with any other third parties.
TextTriage requests the following Chrome permissions:
No permission grants TextTriage access to pages you are not actively viewing, your browsing history, or any other browser data.
TextTriage is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TextTriage after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
